Welcome to the RURALeNTER portal!

The RURALeNTER portal offers citizens of all ages the possibility to acquire and reinforce skills and knowledge in the area of ICT technologies to achieve better access to information and offers from the world wide web.

Citizens in rural areas tend to have particularly diminished accessibility to ICT services and little opportunities to use them for their professional or personal advantage. This portal aims to help rural area citizens to improve their access to ICT services offered in the world wide web.

The RURALeNTER portal makes new methods and materials available to use ICT services in the sense of facilitating daily life and access to lifelong learning. This way the rural population can improve their knowledge and skills in the area of ICT just as they can participate in the information society and in the lifelong learning process.

In the portal you can find two different types of training:
1. RURALeNTER STARTER: materials for workshops supported by a trainer
2. RURALeNTER ONLINE self-study zone: for self-paced learning from your computer at home or in a tele-centre

Before you start, please have a look at our handout on how to use the RURALeNTER portal.
